Anthony Edwards opened the New Pack Order era with 45 points and 10 rebounds in Miami — and the Pack never looked back.

The New Pack Order era opened with a statement. Minnesota went into Miami on Wednesday night and ran the Heat off their own floor, 131–106, behind a season-opening masterpiece from Anthony Edwards.

Ant sets the tone

Edwards was unstoppable from the jump: 45 points on 16-of-29 shooting, nine three-pointers on 17 attempts, and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes. Every time Miami tried to make it a game, No. 5 answered.

Forty-five points, ten boards, nine threes — on opening night. Ant didn't come to ease into the season.

Melo's first chapter

LaMelo Ball's Wolves debut delivered everything the Pack hoped for: 21 points, six assists and five threes, pushing the pace and spraying passes all night. The Ant–Melo backcourt combined for 66 points and 14 made threes.

The supporting cast showed up

Jaden McDaniels — fresh off his new extension — added 17 points and eight rebounds. Rudy Gobert owned the glass with 15 boards. Ayo Dosunmu gave the bench a spark with 16 points, and Jonathan Kuminga chipped in 12 in his Wolves debut.

The numbers tell the story: 47% from the field, 21 threes at a 42% clip, 52 rebounds and a 25-point win on the road. Giannis Antetokounmpo's 35 for Miami never mattered.

One game in, and the New Pack Order already looks like a problem for the rest of the West.
